Hey Sis, Let’s Do Brunch began as heartfelt conversation between Quianna and her sister-in-love Danielle Ali and became the premise and title for Quianna’s first book. She wrote, “Meeting with my sister that Saturday afternoon renewed me. In a society that loves to see women pitted against one another on reality shows and social media, it’s become second nature to shy away from these relationships altogether, or to side-eye the sincerity of them…But I’ here to change that narrative completely…. let me tell you, sis: sisterhood is EVERYTHING!”
Quianna, with the help and unfaltering support of her mother, Carol Ali, and sister-in-love, Danielle Ali, hosted their first Hey Sis, Let’s Do Brunch event in the summer of 2020 and have continued to do so since its inception. This space and the events hosted were designed to create an experience for women to share their stories, rediscover their voices, and find support among the group. From the discussions and speakers to the engaging activities and entertainment, the goal is always the same: connecting women, and empowering their lives. So, no matter what your mood was walking into the event, you leave feeling seen, being heard, and with that same sense of renewal.
