What began as a noble cause led by our Vice President, Dr. Dawne Davis, who wanted to spread holiday cheer to women in need, soon blossomed into a mission that has brought the gift of joy, care, support, and sense of dignity to countless women. For the past 13 years, Dr. Davis and her dynamic group of friends and supporters have taken on the task of raising money for the supplies to create their Women’s Essentials Bags and donate them to women shelters in need just in time for the holidays. With items ranging from feminine hygiene products and socks, to scented lotions and chocolates, each bag is carefully and thoughtfully packed to bring a smile and sense of belonging to each recipient so that they’re reminded that even in their time of need they are seen and loved.
