I head this quote a while ago and it has been resonating with me. The bible says in Revelation 12:11 that we overcome by the blood of the lamb, and the words of our testimony.
Jesus died for our sins. Jesus died so that we could live. Jesus died so that we could OVERCOME! And when we overcome, we have a responsibility to tell HOW we overcame, to encourage other women that they too, can overcome.
Buildings walls is not cool. Building bridges should be our goal!
I was a broken woman for many years. It was hard to get over my father abandoning me. I stayed in a marriage where I was constantly cheated on (more abandonment) and put down until I believed that I wasn’t worth anything. I was stuck in a dead end job where I was constantly ignored and overlooked. I don’t say these things as a “woe is me” thing. I say it, healed. I say it to show you, sis, that as broken as you may feel, there is healing for you. Whatever is eating away at you, won’t win. You have such an awesome identity in Jesus Christ. Somewhere inside of you, there is an awesome testimony, for you to help another sis. Don’t let embarrassment or guilt or whatever, to stop you from telling your story!
Tell your story, from where you are now. Tell what Jesus has done, how he has kept you, and watch Him do more….for you and for others. Sharing the dark moments of your life, will bring light to someone else’s. Sharing your pitfalls, will help someone to stand.
Share your story. Build that bridge!
Hey Sis…what’s your story?
