It is not a good feeling when you are excited about something going on in your life and the people around you dog that thing. It can deflate your cute little pink balloon (been there). Even more so, when you announce what God told you, which causes you to expect a miracle, and people respond like you’re crazy.
“God would not say that….” “God would not have you….” “Where is the money to fund this…”. Excuse me sis, but since when do we know the mind of Christ? 1 Corinthians 2:16 tells us that we don’t. And since when are we privy to what His spirit whispers to your sis’ spirit? The most you can do is pray for her, if you feel her declaration is so out of pocket. But let’s keep it real…a lot of times trusting God, and having big faith will have you out here looking KA-RAY-ZEE!!
DISCLAIMER: We know God won’t tell anyone to do anything against His will. I am not talking about anyone who lied on God. Totally dif scenario. Totally dif post.
Listen, if your sis says to you, God told me it was mine! I am standing in faith for my marriage, my children, my business, my career, my health….I’m standing in faith that my left boob catches up in size to my right boob, then you have two choices: You either grab her hand and face that mountain with her, shout to that wall with her, speak to that mountain with her OR go sit in a corner and reflect on why you are such a hater. Give your heart to God and have Him reveal to you those secret places that harbor jealousy. The saying is true: misery loves company. Are you so miserable in your situation, that the sight of someone else’s excitement over what could be, drives you batty? Are you so weak in your faith that you are intimidated by others’ big faith? Or are you so resigned to the fact that we all should live a life of complacency instead of expectancy? Why don’t you believe God for your sis’ situation? Or your own? That is not of God and that needs to be checked.
Anytime you have or exhibit crazy faith, and believe for the complete impossible, there will always be someone there to tell you that it doesn’t make sense and will question your common sense. Don’t allow someone’s disbelief to tear down your belief. Your belief is YOURS!! Own it!
Matthew 21:21-22 And Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen. “And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
You are your sister’s keeper. Stand with her!
