I had a post all ready for this week. But yesterday I woke up to tragic news in my city. A little boy, 3 years old, was murdered in a drive by. This was the second child death in a matter of weeks. It broke my heart and kept me quiet. And in prayer.
Listen sis, as women we need to band together and work for our cities…and our children. We have to stand in faith, together. My children depend on it. Your children depend on it. All children depend on it. They need a safe world to live in, a place where they can go play outside. The Bible is clear about what will save our cities:
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14
All those who are believers need to follow these directives. Humble ourselves. We can’t do this on our own. Pray and Seek God. Turn from our wicked ways, meaning live the way we were called to live. Live a life that pleases God. Have a heart that chases after God. It’s time out for playing games or being lack luster, lazy. This is just as much a spiritual warfare as it is physical. It’s time we put on our armor and fight…use the power that was given to us.
Where two or three stand together…. (Matthew 18:20). Let’s stand together. For the grieving mothers and fathers. And for the future of our children.
